Cropped Tops in summer? HELL NO!

As we all know it's summer in other parts of the world and our foreign counterparts are always a season ahead when it comes to fashion.

I was stunned when I saw some celebrities sporting cropped shirts, apparently it's a staple for summer and obviously once season's change here, they'll be hitting our shores. (ive already seen some odd replica's at Mr Price.) Suddenly am not looking forward to summer...

I really dont think sooo...

Kelly's version is not too bad, it's the whole showing my not so flat belly to the world idea that im not comfortable with.

um yeah B...Neways, dont know if yall have noticed B's new Charlie Chaplin/Hippie look. It seems like she's experimenting with a less flashy look and going for indie,I dont know but just browse through her recent pics and see what I mean. It's just not her though, she's all glam and that's where she should be. I think she's intimidated by Solange's new look that has everyone less focused on B but on S for a change. Good for you Solange finally, shaving your hair has bought you a ticket out of your sister's shadow.

Im really not keen on this look. I know some people are gonna are pull it off and some definatley WONT. If you want to try this new look here are a few tips from me:

  • If you know that you have a lil extra meat around the belly area, rather wear highwaisted jeans/pants/skirt to balance the shape of you body just like Kelly.

  • If you know your over the age of 25, are not in college anymore, do not work in the entertainment or media industry rather not wear this unless you're going out for a picnic(with your family).

  • avoid wearing a cropped top with a skirt that's short-try not showing too many things at once.

  • lastly, you really dont need cut your fave top just to follow a stupid trend. Be a trendsetter and create your own stupid trend.
Oh um all these pics were taken from http://www.bet.com/ i do not in any way take credit for these.

New Post, New Look!

I asked a good friend of mine, who's also a graphic designer to design a logo for my blog. He's name is Lethabo Hlahatsi and he did a great job in capturing the look of the blog, so with the new logo he told me i might as well change the look of the whole blog. So I changed the template, layout and colours and everything sort of goes well together. I did OD on the pink though, lol!

Lethabo designed two logos for me, one with the URL and one with just the title of the blog:

If you want to see more of his work check out Lethabo Hlahatsi on Facebook, Thanks again!

Anyways, Ive decided that I really need to start looking the part if I really want to be taken seriously as a fashinionista so I really need to start making an effort with my wardrobe. Hopefully the little things like blogs, logos and all will help me turn my passion into my career.
